Rounded

Over the last 48 hours, the guys over at Zooomr photo sharing site have updated and fixed a number of features, making the site a whole lot easier to use.

  • Sort Photos by Awesomeness: You can now sort your own, or anybody else’s photos by ‘Awesomeness‘. This is great for sifting through your contacts photographs to find which are the best. This is a very handy new feature which I’m sure will be used very regularly.
  • Favorites: This is a reinstatement of a feature that was available previous to the Mark 3 version of Zooomr. You can now see what your contacts are favoriting and this can now also be sorted by ‘most recent’ or ‘Awesomeness’. Once again, this is great for finding cool photos.
  • Smartsets: These have now been re-instated with a new system. I have not had much luck getting my previous sets to work, but the new system seems to be slick and faster than ever. It is now very easy to create a smartset very quickly.

It’s great to see features being added, and re-introduced to Zooomr. Stability and back-end improvements must always be a priority, but it’s nice to get something cool for the end user too.

  1. Some great improvements! I’m glad to see Kristopher has been working hard to keep Zooomr the best photo sharing site.

  2. LOL. Great?? LOL again.

Just a couple of queries with different sort criteria. Just 15 minutes of work. Ridiculous. Kris’ development policy is offending my intelligence.

  3. Nemo, it really sounds such simple, but Kris said he had to rewrite some parts of the search system and I think this is not that easy. IMO these are great new features - but hopefully just the beginning!

  4. Ok, two alternatives:

    1. Kris say the truth, then Kris is unable to do his job, because a complete rewrite always means a totally lack of design before the development

    2. Kris lie

In both cases, Kris showed us to be unable to handle a big project what Zooomr is. However, I support the option 2: I call this “dirty marketing”, because it exploits the people ignorance.

Furthermore, Kris is carrying on an incorrect policy: he wastes time with useless stuff and he spends lot of time playing with the iPhone. Kris is immature. He is a teenager, but if you assume an engagement, you have to respect it. He is definitely a disappointment.

  5. Beautiful.
