Ipernity Groups
Media sharing web site, Ipernity, have launched groups. This is a huge development for the site, adding a bit more social to social sharing.
Users can currently only share photographs, but its a good start…and hey, I’m only really interested in sharing photographs anyway. I have found that Ipernity suffered in the past from not having a way to interact with similar minded photographers.
Users are taking to Ipernity Groups very quickly. They have only been set up for a day, and I’m getting loads of invitations. Not bad for somebody who rarely uses the site.
France based Ipernity, like Zooomr gained a lot of users when Flickr started restricting their German users. You can see my profile on Ipernity here.
