There’s another great week of photography events coming up. I’m particularly jealous of those who are joining the Oakland Graffiti Art Film and Photowalk.

5th – 7th Oct: Lisboa International Meeting 2007: Lisbon, Portugal: A long weekend touring the grand city Lisbon and it’s surrounding areas. There will be loads of photo shooting opportunities, and visits to exhibitions. Upcoming Link.

5th – 17th Oct: First! Photography Exhibition: El Paso, Texas, USA: The El Paso Flickr Group host their first photography exhibition at the SpAG. It’s expected to be busy, so turn up in plenty of time. Upcoming Link.

5th Oct: Oakland Graffiti Art Film and Photowalk: Oakland, CA, USA: Starting with a free publish showing of the documentary “Piece by Piece” in the museum garden. Following that there will be an opportunity to head out a shoot some graffiti art around Oakland. Upcoming Link.

6th Oct: Leave Yer Pixels at Home Teeside Flickr Meet: Hartlepool, UK: This is a film-only meet. Bring your top-end kits or your lo-fi gear, dig out your Mamiya’s, Holga’s, Zenit’s or even a disposable point-and-shoot. Upcoming Link.

6th Oct: Salt Lake City Photowalk: Salt Lake City, Utah, USA: This will be an opportunity to photograph in and around downtown Salt Lake City and to get to know other photographers. You don’t have to have the “latest-and-greatest” camera to participate. A great chance to learn from other photographers: Upcoming Link.

7th Oct: Manchester Flickr Meet VIII: Manchester, UK: Meeting at the Font Bar for lunch, then an afternoon of photowalking around Manchester city centre including the Central Library on St. Peter’s Square. Upcoming Link.

9th Oct: Marin Headland Photowalk: San Francisco, California, USA: Another big photowalk, this time taking in the Marin Headland. Expect many of the photowalking big-wigs to be in attendance. Upcoming Link.

10th Oct: Harlem – The Unmaking of a Ghetto: New York, New York, USA: Award-winning photographer Camilo José Vergara has been documenting changes in Harlem since 1970. His Harlem project, serves as the basis for a discussion on the issues of changing race relations, gentrification, and urban renewal. Upcoming Link.
