Those looking for inspiration on those darker days (or long evenings in the southern hemisphere) would do very well to take part in Trevor Carpenter’s December Challenge. He, and everyone else taking part aim to take a portrait every day during December.
It’s a great project which I’ll be keeping my eye on, but not taking part fully as we’re expecting our first baby in the next couple of weeks. I’m sure I’ll be taking more that 31 baby portraits in my collection though.

Additionally, I’m announcing that I’m having a small team of “experts” assist me in selecting some of the top portraits shot by others. I’m not sure yet what I’ll do for them, but we’ll see what I can come up with…
